Dear Parents/Guardians,
SCHOOL ASSESSMENTS SCHEDULE
Please find attached the tentative school assessments schedule for 2010 (http://whitleysec.sg/eportal/attachment.php?attachmentid=5003&stc=1&d=1265443486) which should assist you and your child/ward to plan his/her revision effectively. You may also want to visit SEAB website (http://www.seab.gov.sg (http://www.seab.gov.sg/)) for the tentative GCE ‘N’/’O’ Level Examination schedule..
We have included the detailed timetable for our first common test (http://whitleysec.sg/eportal/attachment.php?attachmentid=5004&stc=1&d=1265443486)to this letter. The detailed timetable for each of the other assessments will be issued to your child/ward and it will also be posted on the school’s e-Portal closer to the actual date of each assessment.
During the assessment period, your child/ward is required to report to school as usual for the morning assembly or at least half an hour before the start of his/her first paper for the day. Once your child/ward has completed his/her assessment for the day, he/she may return home. However, if your child/ward has no assessment on a particular day, he/she may remain at home. Pupils who do not have any assessment at any particular time may stay in the library to do revision.
Please note that the school will also set aside a day after the Mid-Year and the End-of-Year Examination as our Marking Day for teachers to complete their marking and consolidate the final scores. Pupils are not required to report to school on these days.
You will be kept informed of your child/ward’s academic progress each term. For Term 1, the progress report will be issued on the first Thursday of Term 2. All other academic reports will be issued on the last day of the term.
